4. Marvin Bagley (2017-18)
Stats: 21 ppg and 11.1 rpg
The former No. 1 prospect in his class was even better than advertised, earning ACC Player of the Year and All-American honors. Bagley, who shot 61% from the field overall, produced 20 double-doubles. One of them was the famous 32-point and 21-rebound performance against Florida State. He finished his career with three straight 22-point outings in the NCAA Tournament and 16 points and 10 rebounds in the Elite 8 loss to Kansas.
3. Cameron Boozer (2025-26)
Stats: 22.5 ppg and 10.2 rpg
While the 3rd pick in the most recent NBA Draft, Boozer was still viewed as the best overall CBB player, winning National Player of the Year honors. He shot 56% from the field and 39% from deep and had 21 double-doubles. Among Boozer’s best games included 35 points and nine rebounds in a win over Arkansas.
2. Zion Williamson (2018-19)
Stats: 22.6 ppg and 8.9 rpg
Williamson is one of the most famous CBB players in the modern era, winning every award possible, including National Player of the Year. He shot a whopping 75% from inside the arc and had five games of at least 30 points, including 32 and 11 rebounds in the win over UCF in the Round of 32. He scored 11+ points in every game he played longer than a minute and also dropped 31 points and 11 rebounds to beat UNC in the ACC Tournament semis.
1. Cooper Flagg (2024-25)
Stats: 19.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 4.2 apg
One of the most dominant players in all of CBB this decade, Flagg won almost every possible award, including ACC and National Player of the Year. Last year’s No. 1 NBA Draft pick had a 42-point game against Notre Dame and multiple big outings during the 2025 Final Four run, including 30 points and seven rebounds in the Sweet 16 victory over Arizona.
