Ranking the Top Missouri Valley Conference Freshmen Ready to Make an Instant Impact

The Missouri Valley Conference is overflowing with elite newcomers, from local Illinois stars to seasoned international standouts, making this one of the most promising freshman classes in league history.

We may be on the precipice of the greatest influx of Missouri Valley Conference freshmen talent in this generation. There are outstanding Valley rookies everywhere. 

While power-four conference teams seem to raid MVC programs for talent, league coaches have doubled down on recruiting high school players. During their search for first-year talent, conference coaches found outstanding players regionally and internationally. 

No fewer than eight 3.5 star players and eleven ranked in the top ten in their individual states are coming to the Valley. A large number of these rookies will be play significant roles in this year’s MVC race. 

Seven players with outstanding international experience join the domestic stars in this year’s bumper crop of first-year talent. The Valley hasn’t seen this much single-season freshman talent this decade and this collection of talent could be transformative in nature.
