03. Florida Gators (15-1, 2-1)

Beating the No. 1 team in the country by 30 points while only scoring 73 points was almost enough to put the Gators as the top team in this week's rankings, but with two of the top teams in the conference being undefeated, Florida only rose to No. 3. The Gators also picked up a road win this week at Arkansas, beating the Razorbacks 71-63. After giving up 106 points to Kentucky to open conference play, the Gators have only allowed 53 points per game over the last two games. Alijah Martin has played better in SEC play, averaging 19.3 points while making nearly 46 percent from deep through three games. After a somewhat easy non-con slate, Florida looks like it should be in the conversation for the best team in college basketball.

02. Auburn Tigers (15-1, 3-0)

Auburn is 3-0 in SEC play but didn’t necessarily have a great week. The Tigers beat Texas 87-82 on the road to start the week. Auburn led by 21 in the second half before Texas fought back. And then on Saturday, the Tigers struggled at South Carolina, beating the Gamecocks 66-63. Auburn's largest lead was nine points early in the game, but trailed South Carolina by six at halftime. The Tigers rallied back in the second half but lost star Johni Broome to an ankle injury. The game was close before Broome went out so we can’t explain away the poor offensive performance with his absence. Auburn still has a ton of talent without Broome, but the Tigers will need to change up the offense a bit to keep things rolling.

01. Alabama Crimson Tide (14-2, 3-0)

Alabama is largely undefeated in conference play because its offense has shown up in a big way. After dropping 107 points on Oklahoma to open SEC play, the Crimson Tide have scored 88 points at South Carolina and 94 points at Texas A&M. Alabama struggled from the floor against the Aggies but made up for it from behind the arc, making 16 threes in the win.

This is the Alabama we expected to see to start the season. While the offense as a whole has looked more impressive, it has been the play of Mark Sears that has made the biggest difference. Sears has scored at least 22 points in each SEC game and is currently averaging 23.7 points in league play.
