14. Mississippi State Bulldogs

2025-26 record: 13-19 (5-13)

Likely departures

  • Jayden Epps (13.7 ppg and 2.3 apg)
  • Ja’Borri McGhee (8.4 ppg and 2.1 rpg)
  • Quincy Ballard (6.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg)
  • Achor Achor (6.2 ppg and 6.3 rpg)
  • Shawn Jones (5.3 ppg and 4.0 rpg)
  • Sergej Macura (5.0 ppg and 4.8 rpg)
  • Brandon Walker (4.7 ppg and 2.1 rpg)
  • Jamarion Davis-Fleming (3.7 ppg and 4.8 rpg)

Likely returnees

  • Josh Hubbard (22.1 ppg and 3.6 apg)
  • King Grace (5.1 ppg and 1.3 rpg)

Roster additions

  • TJ Simpkins (9.7 ppg and 2.8 rpg at Seton Hall)
  • RJ Johnson (14.5 ppg and 4.0 apg at Kennesaw State)
  • Kendyl Sanders (5.2 ppg and 3.1 rpg at Utah)
  • Thomas Bassong (5.9 ppg and 3.5 rpg at Florida State)
  • ND Okafor (11 ppg and 5.7 rpg at Washington State)
  • Tristan Reed (4-star center prospect)

The good news for the Bulldogs is that they bring back the SEC’s top scorer in Hubbard, who is set to be the program’s all-time leading scorer by the end of next year. The bad news is that there’s not a ton of surrounding talent again, although Okafor is a solid big man who switched over from Ole Miss this offseason.

Sanders and Bassong are rotation forwards but there’s a lack of offense in the frontcourt overall, while Simpkins is an okay starting guard but isn’t an ideal No. 2 option next to Hubbard in the SEC. Having an all-time great will keep Miss State competitive, but it won't be enough to move up the SEC ladder right now.
