The good news for the Bulldogs is that they bring back the SEC’s top scorer in Hubbard, who is set to be the program’s all-time leading scorer by the end of next year. The bad news is that there’s not a ton of surrounding talent again, although Okafor is a solid big man who switched over from Ole Miss this offseason.
Sanders and Bassong are rotation forwards but there’s a lack of offense in the frontcourt overall, while Simpkins is an okay starting guard but isn’t an ideal No. 2 option next to Hubbard in the SEC. Having an all-time great will keep Miss State competitive, but it won't be enough to move up the SEC ladder right now.
