09. Ole Miss Rebels (9-1)
Ole Miss has bounced back nicely following the loss to Purdue a couple of weeks ago. The Rebels have gone 3-0 following the loss, beating all three teams by 23 or more points. The biggest wins of the non-conference part of the season are BYU and Louisville. The BYU win has held up well, but Louisville has dropped quite a few games as of late and the win is starting to drop in quality. The Rebels have been scoring a ton of points lately and this team should be fun to watch over the next few weeks.
08. Mississippi State Bulldogs (9-1)
Mississippi State has struggled a bit the past two games, beating Prairie View and McNeese by a total of 10 points. These two games followed the 33-point win over Pitt. The Prairie View game caused a little more concern than the McNeese, but Mississippi State continues to win. And until the Bulldogs drop a bad game, they should still be a top-half SEC team. The Bulldogs have a tough matchup with Memphis next weekend but should otherwise be able to coast through the rest of the non-conference slate.
07. Oklahoma Sooners (10-0)
From the preseason to today, no other team in the SEC has jumped as many spots as Oklahoma. The Sooners played an incredibly easy schedule to start the season, but Oklahoma has knocked off five power conference teams over its last six games, with the last two P5 wins being by 15 points each. A game against Michigan will be a huge test for the Sooners. Being undefeated at this point in the season is somewhat unexpected, but Porter Moser and the Sooners are making the most of the season.
