Ranking of top 25 incoming freshman classes for 2025-26 season

Recruting is always a hot button issue in college basketball. Who are the best players? Who will make the biggest impact? There are recruiting rankings everywhere but those experts rank a class based on accumulation of talent. Busting Brackets has ranked the classes based on impact and how much these freshman will play and help their teams win.

Coach Jon Scheyer is one of the few coaches who uses high school recruiting to build his team. They have to reload every year, as the entire freshman class typically heads to the NBA Draft. This year doesn't look much different, with a lot of talent that the NBA will highly covet. No one will be as good as Cooper Flagg, though.

The Boozer twins are the prize of the class, and Cameron is a star and likely the top pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. His game reminds me of his father, Carlos. Cayden is a true point guard who still needs to develop a consistent shot but is good enough now to make a huge impact. Khamenia is a fantastic shooter, but his lack of pure athleticism will limit him in some aspects of his game.

This list is exhaustive, and it's meant to be. It provides a snapshot of the freshmen to watch out for this year and the ones who will make the most significant impact on their teams, not necessarily those with the most talent. These are my rankings with no backing from any of the expert sites. I did use On3 for the individual player rankings.
