These 25 transfer portal commitments are flying too far under the radar

There have already been a lot of commitments in the transfer portal. We all know and talk about the commitments of the star players, but what about the commitments of the players who were not stars? Or the ones that played at mid-majors that some don't know about? There is a lot of talent changing teams.

The National Champion has been crowned. Congratulations to the Florida Gators for a fantastic season. Now that the season is over, the offseason can officially begin for all 364 teams. That means transfer portal entrants, transfer portal commitments, and new freshmen will commit to your favorite teams.

If you have been paying attention over the last week, that has already happened. Players have been committing to the transfer portal at a rapid rate. Everyone wants to get their NIL deals done and ready to go before the revenue sharing hits in July. That new settlement will give teams a lot more money to play with.

There were fewer transfer entrants over the weekend of the Final Four. That is to be expected; most coaches are at the Final Four or at other various marketing events. It is also the recruiting dead period, during which no new recruits can be contacted. However, there were a lot of commitments over the weekend.

Some of the commitments were huge and will go a long way towards shaping our views of teams heading into the 2025-2026 season. There may have been a lot of commitments, but which ones may have gotten missed because they are not Power Conference stars?

A lot of the players committing to schools are going to be role players but may have been stars at their last schools. Some were also stars for a mid-major who will turn into stars at their new Power Conference schools. Those are the players that we should focus on. Here are some of the best-underrated transfer portal pickups.

25. Jamar Brown - UCLA Bruins

There has been a run on Summit League players in recent years because of their prowess on the offensive end of the floor. Brown is another one to add to the list. Brown comes from Kansas City, where he led the Roos in almost everything. He now heads to a blue blood program to finish his college career.

UCLA and head coach Mick Cronin desperately need some guys who can score, especially from the three-point line. Brown can create his shot and is a good three-point shooter. He fills a need for the Bruins, which they were only going to fill in the portal. I don't know if Brown is a star in Westwood, but he will help UCLA get back to the tournament.
