4. TK Simpkins - Oregon Ducks
Simpkins was awarded CAA all-conference honors after a breakout season that saw him improve across all facets of his game. Elon had a great season, one of their best in the last decade, and the guard was a big reason why. The guard has an identical twin brother in the portal; maybe they will play together again.
Oregon lost a lot in their backcourt from graduation. Coach Dana Altman needed another scoring guard to take the load off of point guard Jackson Shelstad. The Ducks have a player who can score at all three levels, get to the rim, and is deadly from three. Simpkins also rates highly on the defensive efficiency metrics. He can find himself on the All-Conference team with a good year in Eugene.
3. Adam “Budd” Clark - Seton Hall Pirates
Clark was the highest-ranked recruit in Merrimack history, and his career with the Warriors aside, he was one of the best guards in the country. He averaged 19.8 points per game, had 6.0 assists a night, and was one of the nation's leaders in steals. Don't let his 5'10" size fool you—Clark has a lot of game.
Merrimack played painfully slow and let their defense dictate their offense. That is exactly how the Pirates like to play. Clark is going to help tremendously in turning the offense around and will improve the Pirates' perimeter defense. Budd is a great building block for coach Sha heading into the 2025-2026 season.
