These 25 transfer portal commitments are flying too far under the radar

There have already been a lot of commitments in the transfer portal. We all know and talk about the commitments of the star players, but what about the commitments of the players who were not stars? Or the ones that played at mid-majors that some don't know about? There is a lot of talent changing teams.

20. Jalen Jackson - Butler Bulldogs

The former Fort Wayne Mastodons star was one of the best offensive players in the transfer portal. He was particularly skilled at putting the ball on the floor, getting to the basket, and making minimal three-point shots. His offensive style resulted in the guard averaging 19 points per game for Fort Wayne.

Jahmyl Telfort, one of the Bulldogs' leading scorers from the 2024-2025 season, has exhausted his eligibility. Pierre Brooks can still come back from one more season if he chooses. Jackson is the next piece of the puzzle to try and get the Bulldogs back to the NCAA Tournament, and he is a big piece of that puzzle this year.

19. Jayden Reid - Northwestern Wildcats

Reid showed tremendous improvement from his freshman to sophomore year. He was also given a more significant share in the offense and took off. Reid is a good shooter; over 50% of his shots come from deep. Unlike other shooters, the guard can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim.

Northwestern lost a ton of talent heading into next year. They are desperate for shooters and guards who can create their shots. Reid is that player and is the perfect kind of player for Chris Collins. Coach Collins loves tough kids with a high basketball IQ; they turn into stars.
