Arkansas Razorbacks get four-star recruit Ted Kapita

The Arkansas Razorbacks have had a surprising season so far, going 19-5 overall and are in second place in the Southeastern Conference with only bulletproof Kentucky ahead of them. It seems that even in 2015, they will continue their upward trend into next year.

It was announced today that Arkansas secured a commitment from four-star power forward Ted Kapita. The Razorbacks were competing against Missouri and Memphis before Kapita, the 36th ranked prospect on the Busting Brackets 100, verbally committed to the university today.

The 6’9, 220-pound forward out of Huntington Prep in West Virginia provides Arkansas with a strong post-up forward to work off of on the inside. He also has good length (7’2½ wingspan) and shows great athleticism on the glass.

Kapita is only the second player that the Razorbacks have secured a commitment from for the Class of 2015. However, he joins another four-star recruit, and 55th ranked prospect in the Busting Brackets 100, in Jimmy Whitt, who signed his letter of intent to attend Arkansas on November 12, 2014.

The addition of Kapita will give the Razorbacks good depth at the forward position with Moses Kingsley, Bobby Portis, and Trey Thompson currently on the Arkansas roster. With Arkansas on their way to make their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2008, the Razorbacks are doing a good job building on their current success.
