Bobby Portis Drops To The Chicago Bulls At No.22

Bobby Portis is one of the players that lucked out in this draft going to a team where he can be an immediate impact player  with the Chicago Bulls drafting him with the 22nd pick.

The Chicago Bulls are going to attempt a makeover on the fly. They need to do a slight revamp to their roster while still maintaining their core so they can remain competitive on the Eastern Conference.

Bobby Portis at 6-foot-11, 231 pounds, is going to be a solid front court player for the Bulls especially when you consider that they may be looking to move Joakim Noah and possibly Taj Gibson.

With Fred Hoiberg taking over as head coach, he promises to bring more of an offensive mindset than his predecessor Tom Thibodeau.

What makes you scratch your head is wondering how a player like Bobby Portis even ended up being available this late in the draft.

Indiana could have easily taken him with the No.11 pick. The Phoenix Suns could have used him at No. 13 since they need someone that can play the middle for them and run the floor.

Even Atlanta would have been a good destination for Portis also at No.15.

But he ended up falling all the way to No.22, and he is going to fit very well with the Chicago Bulls.
