Ole Miss Rebels volume-shooter, Marshall Henderson, is a lot of different things. What he is most known for, though, is his ability to get under some people’s skin. A good example of that would be Mississippi State Bulldogs coach, Rick Ray, getting all hot and bothered by Henderson in his teams loss on Sunday (notice how no one ever goes bat-poop crazy in a win).

Henderson scored 19 points as the Rebels backhanded the Bulldogs, 82-63. However, it was Ray’s altercation with the Womp Womp Monster that garnered the most attention — and, because the world demands it I guess, Ray apologized for his actions.

To be fair, Ray probably didn’t need to apologize. Should he be gibber-jabbering with an unpaid laborer? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean his actions were something that needed to be apologized for. Basketball is really competitive. Sometimes folks get caught up in the moment and get at each other. Alas, heaven forbid some guy wanted to respond to another guy who loves himself some bickering.

It is a little funny, though, that Ray never mentions Henderson in his apology. He only refers to him as “the player”. He does mention Ole Miss coach, Andy Kennedy.

Somehow I think that Marshall Henderson isn’t bothered by Rick Ray going all Marshall Henderson on him. So, um, let’s just move on from this non-story story.
