The Michigan State Spartans are going to be down one very good player for next season. According to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman (yes, we too wish it were John Goodman of awesome fame), Gary Harris is forgoing some more years of unpaid labor to go make some loot in the NBA.
Harris could have went to the NBA last year, but opted for one more season in college. Despite some injuries that slightly held him back, it could be seen as a fine decision as he is still slated to be a lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
What does this mean for Michigan State? Well, they lose an ultra talented player. Although, to be fair, we think Tom Izzo does a pretty good job finding replacements for his stars. I mean, he has done it very some time now.
Expect Harris to go between 10-12 in the 2014 NBA Draft. He could be considered a steal if he were to drop any lower than that portion of the draft.
Goodbye, Gary Harris. We knew you.
