VIDEO: Trevor Lacey Saves NC State With Game-Winner
By Jacob Rude
The NC State Wolfpack looked destined to suffer a bad loss on the road against Georgia Tech, a loss that could certainly come back to haunt them come tournament time.
Then Trevor Lacey happened.
The junior guard hoisted one up from beyond three-point range and, well, we’ll let you see how it turned out.
Lacey finished with 19 points on the day, but none bigger than the final three as it very well could help save the Wolfpack’s tournament hopes come early March. With the win, NC State moves to 5-5 in the ACC and keeps their tournament hopes alive, as a 4-6 record would have likely been much harder to overcome.
For Lacey, this is just another big shot for his season, which has been filled with them, especially in the Wolfpack’s upset win over Duke earlier this month. Now, let’s hope to see more of these buzzer-beaters come tournament time.
