Recruiting: Meet the 2015 McDonald’s All-Americans

The 38th edition of the McDonald’s All-American Game will take place later tonight at the United Center in Chicago, marking an annual highlight of the recruiting season for both coaches and players alike.

It’s worth noting that some of the nation’s best talent WILL NOT be on the floor for this showcase. This year, a few worthy candidates were deemed ineligible from being named to the team. Kentucky commit (ESPN #3 overall prospect) Skal Labissiere was not selected due to the fact that he plays for a basketball program that is different from where he is academically enrolled. UConn commit Jalen Adams (ESPN #24), another notable absentee, is ineligible due to his status as a postgraduate at Brewster Academy.
A pair of future Texas A&M big men, Tyler Davis (ESPN #18) and Elijah Thomas (ESPN #29), were on the list of most notable snubs along with Arizona commit Ray Smith (ESPN #28). Their absence highlights the impressive depth of the 2015 class.
Here’s a closer look at some of the names you will see in the Windy City this evening, and most importantly, which campus you can find them on next season.
The McDonald’s All-American Game can be seen tonight on ESPN at 9pm.
