FIBA U19 World Championship: USA vs. Croatia Replay
By Daniel Tran
The young USA ballers of high school and college attempt to navigate their way to a second consecutive FIBA U19 World Championship title.
With the NBA Draft over, college basketball fans are experiencing the depression that occurs every summer with the NCAA basketball being months away from meaningful games. Some will turn to baseball, others will turn to…well, there really isn’t anything else sports wise is there.
However, there is an oasis during these dog days of summer that should offer some satisfaction to college basketball fans yearning for some hoops. Team USA is participating in the FIBA U19 World Championship with some of the best young talent at the high school and NCAA Division I level, and is on their way to successfully defending their gold medal in 2013.
After dispatching Iran in their first game of Group A play, USA Basketball faced Croatia today as they continue their trek towards the knockout round. Unfortunately, the game is already over. Fortunately, we have the game, which was streamed live on the FIBA Youtube channel, for your enjoyment.
Here’s hoping that this game and tournament will quench your basketball thirst until the season starts in November. USA Basketball will play their next game on Tuesday, June 30 against Egypt.
