Big 12 Basketball: December Power Rankings
We sit once month into the season. That awkward point where we can start to see a little bit of what teams will become, but it’s still tough to draw too many conclusions from non-conference play.
But I’ll power rank the Big 12 anyway, because it’s such an interesting conference. I organized the teams into three tiers: title contenders (being that I think any one of them could win the conference), tournament contenders (teams just trying to qualify for the NCAA Tournament), and five-win hopefuls (because they would all be happy to win five conference games).

For the title contenders, I ran through their record, notable games they have played, a quick overview of the team, and what I like, and don’t like, about each team thus far. Those are the first five teams I rank.
As for the tournament contenders and five-win hopefuls, I give their record, notable games, and an extended overview of each team, for the sake of time. The tournament contenders are teams six and seven, with the five-win hopefuls being eight through 10 (not going to spoil anything!).
So without further to so, let’s dig in!
