Who’s the fourth winner of the week in NCAA Basketball this summer?

It’s the summer, so figuring out which player, or team, or mascot, or fan base, or conference, or commissioner, or Plumlee won the week is a little more difficult than it is once November rolls around.

But even in the off-season, there are still a plethora of winners in college basketball if you know where to look. So I took it upon myself to dive deep into collegiate news feeds, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Vine and Snapchat in hopes of giving the Busting Brackets faithful what they want.

Every week we will choose one thing that won the week. At the end of the off-season, we’ll have a tournament/vote to figure out who/what in college basketball won the summer.

Last week, the Atlantic Coast Conference won the week and the subsequent 20 years. This week? Well, if you can dodge traffic, and you can dodge a ball, you should be able to dodge North Carolina.

It’s been a slow week in actual college basketball news, folks. Like really, really slow.

Sure, there is plenty of recruiting rumors. High school kids are cutting their Top-10’s down to Top-5’s. There’s summer league action going on (which might just be the biggest Ponzi Scheme of all time). And of course, there are quite a few interesting, non-blue chip schools making some big early splashes on the recruiting trail (shouts to Bruce Pearl and the incoming 2017 Auburn class).

While I would love to give ol’ Coach Pearl the winner of the week for his early 2017 foundation, it just doesn’t move the needle like the Duke Men’s Basketball team getting the day off from practice to play…

… wait for it…

…DODGEBALL!

That folks is pure, unadulterated, 5th-grade-gym-class-happiness.

Think what you will about the Duke Blue Devils, Coach K, Grayson Allen (and his “on court actions”) and their Top-2 — depending on where you look — 2016 class ranking. I get why some people throw the words “hate” and “Duke” around like Drake sing-raps about his cellphone, but you cannot deny, in your heart of hearts, that you didn’t like Duke for even a millisecond when you saw them react to the Dodgeball news.

Do me a favor, rewind to the three second mark and let it ride out for about 15-seconds.

Again.

One more time.

Now, isn’t that beautiful? Doesn’t this make your day better, even in the slightest?

Just look at Frank Jackson’s face. Can you see the vein in his neck. He’s screaming. Screaming with elation. Childlike thoughts and feelings are flowing throughout his entire being and he cannot control himself. He’s the best part of this brief 10-seconds and it really doesn’t even matter that he is going to be one of the best freshman in college basketball in 2016.

I’ve watched the “Will Stephens skips agility workout” segment probably over thirty times at this point, and I could watch it another thirty more.

And it’s not just Jackson. Jayson Tatum (another fantastic incoming freshman) looks like he just won the NCAA Tournament. Harry Giles knee (thankfully) looks to be perfectly fine because he jumped up and down like a four year old who was just told that Barney is going to be at his birthday party.

Grayson Allen doesn’t even come off as a villain in this video and Grayson Allen always comes off as a villain. It’s his thing.

Even Coach K is a winner in this video if you think hard about it, and he’s not even in the same state as these guys. After all, you know that he had to approve whatever email/text Stephens sent out asking for permission to cancel that days suicide drills in favor of elementary school games. Y

ou know Coach K then had to approve the social media department’s request to film it all. And you definitely know Coach K had to “ok” the expense report for ten Mikasa Official Dodgeballs.

I know it might bug some of you, but even in the summer, Duke basketball stays winning.
