Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats rally late to survive at Tulsa
Cincinnati basketball rallied from 11 points down on the road in the second half to get their 13th straight win.
Just when you think Cincinnati will finally lose an American Athletic Conference basketball game, they flipped the script to prove everyone wrong.

The Bearcats overcame a rough shooting night and an 11-point second half deficit to get a 57-55 win Wednesday night against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
Tulsa pulled ahead 52-41 with 6:01 left and were certainly primed to pull off the upset. However, the Bearcats went on a 16-3 run to destroy the chance.

Troy Caupain played hero for Cincinnati, scoring five points in the final minute, including a go-ahead jumper with four seconds left. Caupain finished the game as Cincinnati’s leading scorer with 15 points because of his late scoring effort.
The Bearcats had a less than stellar game in terms of shooting in the field. At one point, Cincinnati was shooting 13-of-44 from the field. However, the Bearcats recovered to make five of their last seven field goals.
Cincinnati couldn’t make a shot early as the Golden Hurricanes started the game with a 9-0 run. The Bearcats recovered and tied the game at halftime despite shooting 7-of-23 to that point.
Free throws kept Cincinnati in the game in the opening half as the Bearcats went 12-of-16 during that frame.
This isn’t the first comeback win for the Bearcats. Their most recent comeback came last Thursday against Xavier.
Thanks to the win over Tulsa, Cincinnati remains alone in first place in the AAC, just ahead of the SMU Mustangs. Not only was it Cincinnati’s 20th win this season, but they remain the lone undefeated team in the conference at 9-0. The No. 14-ranked Bearcats return home Saturday to take on UConn.

Meanwhile, the loss for Tulsa drops them to third in the AAC, tied with Memphis at 6-3. They’re 12-9 overall. It doesn’t get easier for Tulsa, however, as they play SMU on Saturday.
