Seton Hall’s Angel Delgado will forgo the 2017 NBA Draft and return for the 2017-18 season.

The Seton Hall Pirates received fantastic news, as Angel Delgado announced via Twitter that he would return to school for another season.

After averaging 15.2 points per game and 13.1 rebounds per game over 33 minutes per game last season, many believed that Delgado would likely head off to the next level.

However, his return will likely have many choosing the Pirates as a sleeper team out of the Big East. Seton Hall has what it takes to be a top 25 preseason team, but will the standings eventually reflect that?

Last season, Delgado led the Pirates to an impressive 21-12 record that included a trip to the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Seton Hall lost in the first round to a highly underrated Arkansas Razorbacks’ team, but the season went better than most expected after a rough start to conference play. This season, expectations will be a bit higher, as the conference gets a little bit more competitive from top to bottom.
