Rhode Island Basketball: Rams snag four-star PF Jermaine Harris
By Taylor Sturm
Four-star, Class of 2018 power forward Jermaine Harris has chosen to commit to the Rhode Island Rams.
During the 2016-17 season, the Rhode Island Rams were able to perform extremely well, finishing with an impressive 25-10 overall record and finishing third in the final regular season Atlantic 10 conference standings.
The Rams would win the A-10 Tournament over the VCU Rams and then earn a trip to the 2017 NCAA Tournament, where they would defeat the No. 6 seeded Creighton Blue Jays before falling to the No. 3 seeded Oregon Ducks in the second-round.
Despite the excitement of their upcoming season, Rams’ fans should be even more excited for the future of this program, as Rhode Island received a commitment from four-star, Class of 2018 power forward Jermain Harris.
The 6’8, 200-pound native of Maryland is ranked as the No. 22 power forward in the country by 247 Sports, as well as the No. 80 overall player. Harris is also ranked as the No. 85 player in the ESPN 100, making him a great get for the Rams and the highest rated recruit to choose the school since Jared Terrell back in 2014.
The Rams have already received a commitment from underrated combo-guard Amir Harris from the Class of 2018, as well. Harris and, well, Harris will spend several years playing together at Rhode Island and could be devastating in the pick and roll. You can read more about him here.
