The future of college basketball looks very bright. Both Zion Williamson and Gianni Hunt flashed their high-flying skills over the past weekend.
This past weekend, we saw some spectacular plays from recruits from the classes of 2016, 2017, and 2018. Although one is already enrolled for this upcoming season, Jaylen Hands still deserves to make the highlight reel from the weekend. Each of these players is highly sought after for their class and are bound to make an impact once they arrive on campus.
Let’s take a peek at each of these players and the highlight reel dunks that they put on display over the weekend. These clips are provided by Overtime.
Zion Williamson – No. 2 in the class of 2018 – 6’7″, 230 pounds
Jumping off the top plays of the weekend was Williamson, with two very impressive moves in the span of just 30 seconds. First, this top recruit came in with a block from behind, pinning the ball up against the glass. Showing his versatility, Williamson then ran the length of the floor, received a pass, and proceeded to flush down a vicious dunk.
Williamson is one of the top recruits in the class of 2018 and is yet to make his college decision. Programs such as Kentucky, Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina are among the teams hoping to acquire this one-and-done star.

Gianni Hunt – No. 176 in the class of 2019 – 6’2″, 170 pounds
Out of the 2019 class, Gianni Hunt is not as highly-rated as Williamson. Still, this young point guard is not afraid to put up a highlight. Even though he is not the biggest player in his class, Hunt had no problem rising up for a between the legs jam that broke the rim off the backboard.
Yes, you read that correctly. I don’t think this counts as a dunk because the ball cannot go through a hoop that is lying on the ground, but this is still crazy. Shoutout to Hunt for accomplishing something you do not see very often. Hunt has several college offers, but it looks like Oregon State is the favorite.

BONUS ROUND – Jaylen Hands
Not to be outdone by the 2018 recruits, UCLA freshman Jaylen Hands showed off his high-flying ability over the weekend as well. Hitting the hardwood this season for the Bruins, Hands is an electric finisher who will be a starting guard for the likely preseason top-25 team.

These players are all extremely exciting and are the future of college basketball. Sure, they might not all be in college for very long, but their individual seasons will be fun to watch. If they can pull any of these stellar dunks off in a college basketball game, then you will be sure to see them pop up on your Twitter feed or television.
