Following a massive meeting between the Duke Blue Devils and Michigan State Spartans, the Kansas Jayhawks and Kentucky Wildcats will face off in a battle between two of the all-time best college basketball programs.

TV Schedule: Tuesday, Nov. 14, 9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

Arena: United Center, Chicago, Illinois

The Kentucky Wildcats have begun the 2017-18 season in shaky fashion, coming back from a halftime deficit to defeat the Utah Valley Wolverines and narrowly sneaking past Vermont, 73-69. Those, including me, who believed the Wildcats were a bit underrated heading into the season should be a bit concerned because these struggles are real.

However, this is a young team, and John Calipari will have time to get them into top form before the NCAA Tournament. A win is still a win, and undefeated is still undefeated.

That being said, it is not going to get any easier for the Wildcats, who will face the Kansas Jayhawks next.

Kansas opened the 2017-18 season by decimating the Tennessee State Tigers, 92-56. Apart from the Tigers being an average team and still getting slaughtered by the Jayhawks, the scariest part of the win is that it almost felt as if Kansas was not even playing at full potential.

Devonte’ Graham barely shot, and still finished with a double-double and just three assists short of a triple-double. Lagerald Vick, who was expected to play a somewhat complimentary role, went for 23 points, and I honestly believe that Kansas might be underrated even as the No. 4 team in college basketball.

I would really like to say that Kentucky is able to pull out a win in this one, but their early season struggles seem to indicate that Kansas will be the victor.

Expect a good game, though, because it is highly likely that the Wildcats have been in cruise control to start the season and are ready to take it to a worthy opponent.
