Duke vs. Furman: College basketball game preview, TV schedule
By Taylor Sturm
The Duke Blue Devils face the Furman Paladins on Monday night. Who comes out on top?
TV Schedule: Monday, Nov. 20, 7:00 p.m. ET, ACC Network
Arena: Cameron Indoor Stadium
The Duke Blue Devils remain the No. 1 team in college basketball after a phenomenal start to the season that saw them dominate lesser opponents and overcome arguably their biggest challengers to the National Title in the Michigan State Spartans – without Marvin Bagley.
While they did not lose to Michigan State as I predicted (my bad, guys), the Blue Devils are on track to achieve all of my other predictions for their 2017-18 campaign, including going undefeated until at least February.
There is no team on this Duke schedule that really looks like they stand a chance of pulling off an upset until the Blue Devils go on the road to Chapel Hill to face the North Carolina Tar Heels, and, even then, UNC has yet to show anything that implies they can handle Coach K and Co.
Next up for the Blue Devils is a home game against the Furman Paladins, a team that is not as bad as the casual fan probably believes. Furman grabbed a good win against Elon already this season, and the Paladins played well against Butler early on.
The superior Bulldogs pulled away late in the first to win by 17, and, unfortunately for Furman, Duke looks like they are miles better than Butler. Nothing should stop Duke from absolutely demolishing the Paladins.

Expect a brief fight from the Paladins, before the Blue Devils rightfully stomp a team that really does not possess any hope of an upset. Worst case scenario, Duke wins by less than 20.
Prediction: Duke 90, Furman 66
