4. Joel Berry, North Carolina

It seems the Duke Blue Devils got all the love in this year’s NBA Draft Combine. Marvin Bagley III, Wendell Carter Jr. and Trevon Duval all received invites, while North Carolina Tar Heels senior point guard Joel Berry did not.

Forget the fact that Berry earned the Most Outstanding Player award in 2017 when the Tar Heels won the National Championship. Forget the fact that Berry passed Michael Jordan as North Carolina’s all-time leading scorer. History met hype when Joel Berry was ultimately snubbed by the combine process.

Berry averaged 17.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game in his final season as a Tar Heel. North Carolina finished the season with a 26-11 record, falling to the Texas A&M Aggies in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Despite that, Berry finishes as one of the most decorated players in school history. Unfortunately, it didn’t earn him an invite to the NBA Draft Combine.
