2. Donte DiVincenzo, Villanova

The Villanova Wildcats improbable run to another NCAA title game was climaxed by a performance by guard Donte DiVincenzo. DiVincenzo scored 31 points off the bench in the title game against the Michigan Wolverines in the most important game of his career. He was named the NCAA Most Outstanding Player for his play as Villanova won the game, 79-62.

DiVincenzo shot 10-for-15 from the floor and 5-for-7 from 3-point range in the game. Since then, he hasn’t looked back, inserting his name into the NBA Draft and seeing his stock continue to rise in draft circles. He shot 40.1% from behind the arc through 40 games in 2017-18.

DiVincenzo averaged 13.4 points per contest while starting just 10 contests for Villanova last season. He seems to be a guy that understands his role as a shooter off the bench, something that will come in handy for a team looking for shooting depth in the draft.

Villanova players have become a commodity in recent seasons as they’ve won the title in two of the last three seasons. DiVincenzo serves as the next best thing from head coach Jay Wright’s wheelhouse. Expect to see DiVincenzo selected in the mid-to-late first round.
