Five players from Big East Basketball were selected in the 2018 NBA Draft. See where they’re headed for their next stop in the league.

Big East Basketball saw another successful night in the NBA Draft as five players from the conference were drafted on June 21. Four players were taken from the Villanova Wildcats and one from the Creighton Blue Jays.

The Wildcats showed that winning a national championship ultimately does pay off. Three of four of their players were selected as first-round picks. Their highest selection was Mikal Bridges, although his destination ultimately changed a few times before he finally found his landing spot.

It’s been a long time coming for the Wildcats to see multiple first-round picks in the same draft. Not since Kyle Lowry and Randy Foye were selected in the 2007 NBA Draft has so much talent come from the Villanova Wildcats.

The progress of Big East Basketball is alive and well, especially if you’re the Wildcats. The conference was ranked fifth behind all the other Power 5 conferences. The ACC took home the most selections with 10 while the Big Ten had eight, Pac-12 and SEC had seven apiece and the Big 12 had six players selected.

The talent is certainly spread out among the NCAA ranks. Here’s a look at where the former Big East stars are headed next season.
