The 2018 NBA Draft has come and gone and now that the dust has settled, we take a look at some of the biggest first-round snubs.

The 2018 NBA Draft was full of surprises, although the first overall pick went about as expected as Arizona Wildcats’ big man DeAndre Ayton was taken by the Phoenix Suns. After that, though, things changed as teams swapped picks, passed on certain players and coveted prospects dropped down the board.

The most intriguing pick of the draft was West Virginia Mountaineers point guard Jevon Carter to the Memphis Grizzlies. Carter was taken 32nd overall as the second pick of the second round despite his potential as a two-way threat.

If ever there was a player that could change the culture in Memphis, it’s the back-to-back NABC Defensive Player of the Year out of West Virginia. He averaged 17.3 points, 6.6 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game in his senior season with the Mountaineers. Despite his stats and accolades, he fell into the second round to a team with a motto of “Grit and Grind”.

Fit matters when it comes to things like the NBA Draft. Needless to say, some teams fell asleep at the wheel when it came to the NBA Draft. Here’s a look at the biggest first-round snubs from the 2018 NBA Draft.
