Atlantic 10 Basketball has some rising stars in the making on the court. Here ‘s a look at the rising sophomores to keep an eye on for 2018-19.

Atlantic 10 basketball is undergoing a power shift, as a lot of teams will be in rebuild mode this upcoming season. The early favorites to win it are no longer the Rhode Island Rams or the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. In 2018-19, it’s anybody’s conference to win but if anybody holds an edge, it’s the Davidson Wildcats.

The Wildcats return Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year Kellen Grady as well as some other top players in the conference. After going 21-12 in 2017-18 and making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, they have an opportunity to make more waves in 2018-19.

A few other teams with the potential to make waves are the St. Louis Billikens and the Richmond Spiders. The Billikens shouldn’t be too short on firepower, especially with the return of rising sophomore Jordan Goodwin. Goodwin missed the team’s final seven games of the season due to a violation of university policy while dealing with a sexual assault investigation. He started in all 26 games he appeared in as a freshman, averaging 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals.

The Spiders have fiery guard Jacob Gilyard and 6-foot-9 forward Grant Golden on the rise in their program. Both players averaged double figures in scoring last season. Here’s a look at the Top 5 rising sophomores for 2018-19.
