Virginia Tech Basketball: Top 2019 recruiting targets for the Hokies
In one quick swoop, Virginia Tech Basketball lost all their commitments in the 2019 recruiting class. Here’s a look at some top prospects on their radar.
The Virginia Tech Basketball 2019 recruiting class was once brimming with potential back in December before their three commitments had a change of heart. Big man B.J. Mack and guards Kobe and Keyshaun Langley all withdrew their verbal pledges to Virginia Tech back in early December and since then, the Hokies have been quiet on the recruiting trail.
Mack, coming off a season at the prestigious Oak Hill Academy (VA), has recently drawn offers from George Mason and Indiana State. In total, he holds 13 offers from Division 1 programs. The Langley twins have generated offers from different directions. Kobe Langley holds offers from UNC-Greensboro, the College of Charleston, High Point and Virginia Tech. Keyshaun holds offers currently from Virginia Tech and High Point.
Given the current climate of offers, the Hokies could very well still be in the running for all three players. They may have some work to do to convince them to change their decisions, but even then, the Hokies have been busy on the recruiting trail. By my count, the Hokies will have six scholarships available after the 2018-19 season.
With zero players in their recruiting class, Virginia Tech wouldn’t mind a commitment or two in the next few months for relief. Here’s a look at the current players that the Virginia Tech Hokies have offered.
