Qudus Wahab

As the game has evolved, the traditional big remains here to stay and that’s where Qudus Wahab comes in. Wahab is a 6-foot-10 center with a tremendous skill set for a big man.

He is running with the AAU program, WeR1 (Delaware), this summer, averaging 8.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. During the school year, he played for Flint Hill (VA). Flint Hill went 22-7 in 2017-18. Wahab put up 25 double-doubles during the high school season as a junior, including a 31-point, 14-rebound performance.

Wahab would be an instant upgrade in the Virginia Tech Hokies frontcourt. He’s a guy with starter potential written all over him given the current roster. With the departure of Blackshear, he’d be good to have when facing off against some of the top teams in ACC.

He’s also generated offers from St. Louis, Temple, Louisville and Ohio State. As his senior season heats up, Wahab will hopefully become a bigger priority for Virginia Tech.
