Big 12 Basketball a lot of talent from last season. Here’s a look at top players to keep an eye on in the conference for 2018-19.

The Big 12 Conference should be more competitive than ever this upcoming season. The Big 12 saw seven teams selected to last year’s NCAA Tournament, as the Kansas Jayhawks made it all the way to the Final Four. While the Jayhawks will be an early favorite to win the conference crown, the Kansas State Wildcats will be right on their tail.

Mo Bamba, Trae Young, and Devonte Graham are all off to the NBA, but that doesn’t mean the conference will be without some new faces to take over the spotlight. Shaka Smart and the Texas Longhorns will be looking to make a move with point guard Matt Coleman entering his sophomore season. Coleman put up 10.2 points, 4.1 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest during his freshman season.

After getting a season of experience under his belt, he should look a lot more settled in with rising senior forward Dylan Osetkowski in the rotation as well. Osetkowski averaged 13.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals per game in 2017-18.

A few other players worth mentioning are TCU Horned Frogs guard Jaylen Fisher and Kansas guard Lagerald Vick. Fisher returns after missing significant time from a knee injury while Vick returns looking to make another run to the Final Four. Here’s a look at the Top 10 returning players in Big 12 action for 2018-19.
