The coaching ranks in ACC Basketball is quite the competitive gauntlet. Here we rank where the head coaches stand in the conference.

ACC basketball isn’t short on talent by any stretch and the head coaching ranks are quite decorated as well. Whether it’s developing the top talent or luring potential draft picks, the ACC has its fair share of quality head coaches. The conference will welcome some new faces this season, adding to the talented resumes of head coaches that have been mainstays in the ACC.

Jeff Capel and Chris Mack are familiar faces in their own right, so adding them to the mix will work wonders in increasing the profile of ACC basketball. Capel takes over at Pittsburgh after seven successful seasons with the Duke Blue Devils, which makes for a potential rivalry down the road.

Mack takes over the Louisville Cardinals after a productive nine seasons with the Xavier Musketeers. Given the off-the-court issues their program has faced, Mack will have his work cut out for him going forward. After leading Xavier to five-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, he should be fine, though.
