The NCAA Basketball landscape is good for showing you the top one-and-done players to watch, but not all of them are always accounted for. Here are five under the radar freshmen to observe for 2018-19.

The college basketball landscape is certainly changing as evidenced by this past season. In total, 14 players in last year’s freshmen class heard their name called in the 2018 NBA Draft. That group was led by DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III, and Jaren Jackson Jr. In the 2018-19 season, there’s a new group ready to take center stage, raising the stakes a whole lot more.

The 2018 recruiting class is reloaded with talent at the top once again, opening the possibility for more one-and-done prospects. All eyes will be on R.J. Barrett, Zion Williamson, Nassir Little, Naz Reid and Romeo Langford in the Power 5 Conferences. At the same token, the mid-major ranks have a few potential one-and-done prospects in the group as well.

Last season, Texas Tech Red Raiders guard Zhaire Smith flew under the radar for much of the 2017-18 season, but when March arrived, he excelled on the big stage. Smith had a breakout season for the Red Raiders, scoring a single-season freshman record 417 points during his freshman year. He set himself apart all season long and when draft night arrived, he heard his name called.

This upcoming season, a new batch of players will have a chance of flying under the radar, at least until March. Here’s a look at the Top 5 under the radar one-and-done players to watch for 2018-19.
