Arkansas Basketball returns just two starters from a season ago. The rebuild will be on in full effect for head coach Mike Anderson in 2018-19.

The Arkansas Razorbacks made the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row in 2017-18. With eight players to replace, the Razorbacks and head coach Mike Anderson are approaching an interesting season. They’ll have a ton of new faces on the roster as they look to make it three seasons in a row with an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Arkansas finished last year with a 23-12 record (10-8 SEC). They’ve won over 20 contests in three of the last four seasons but, three starters from last season’s squad are gone. Duplicating those results may be tough this upcoming season. 10 newcomers including two redshirt players will make their debut for the Razorbacks in 2018-19.

Sophomore big man Daniel Gafford will be back after a productive freshman season. He became the first Arkansas freshman to put up 400 points, 200 rebounds and 70 blocks in a season. Gafford led an offensive attack that ranked second in the SEC last year in points per game (80.5). A majority of the production from last season is gone, though, so the results will be interesting to see this year. The talent is certainly there, they just need it to emerge. Here’s a look at the 2018-19 season preview for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
