Projected starters

The starting rotation could see a massive shakeup during the 2018-19 campaign. They do return last year’s leading scorer Jared Wilson-Frame. He led the team with 13.0 points per contest. Their second-leading scorer from a year ago, Marcus Carr, transferred to play with the Minnesota Gophers.

6-foot-4 guard Khameron Davis will join Wilson-Frame in the backcourt. He averaged 4.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest through 32 appearances (23 starts) last year and has the potential to be a breakout candidate this year.

Shamiel Stevenson’s versatility should come in handy in the frontcourt. The 6-foot-6 Canadian native put up 8.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game as a freshman last season. 6-foot-10 big man Terrell Brown should log a lot of minutes at the other frontcourt position. He produced 4.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game through 31 appearances (17 starts) in 2017-18.

6-foot-6 guard Malik Ellison will probably be the biggest addition to their starting lineup. He sat out the 2017-18 season after transferring from the St. John’s Red Storm. In two seasons with the Red Storm, he averaged 7.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 33.3 percent from behind the arc. Ellison will certainly be a boost in their backcourt, but he may not be enough to solve all of their offensive woes.
