Georgetown Basketball will travel to the Carrier Dome on Saturday looking for revenge after falling in overtime in 2017-18.

The Georgetown Hoyas are making basketball fun again and their biggest test of the season will come on Saturday against the Syracuse Orange. Big man Jessie Govan has picked up where left off in 2017-18 while freshmen James Akinjo and Mac McClung are making their impact as well.

The Hoyas are 7-1 on the season with a road victory already over the Illinois Fighting Illini. Their next challenge should push them to the brink, especially when you consider they took Syracuse to overtime in 2017-18 and ended up losing at home.

Govan just posted his second double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds)  of the year against the Liberty Flames in their last victory, 88-78. Akinjo led all scorers with 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor. McClung had another strong game, putting up double figures for the second straight game with 12 points. He put up 16 points against the Richmond Spiders in a 90-82 victory on Nov. 28.

Georgetown seems to be figuring things out at the right time, but the Orange will be just the second Power 5 team they’ll face through eight games so far. With all eyes on them to produce, the Hoyas should be ready to give the Orange a challenge. Here’s a look at three keys for Georgetown against Syracuse.
