3. Noah Dickerson must stay out of foul trouble

103-79. That was the score of last season’s meeting between the Hokies and the Huskies on Nov. 17, 2017. It was just the fourth game on the young season but it’s surely on the minds of the Washington players coming in.

Noah Dickerson finished that game with four field goal attempts to go along with four fouls. He played in just 14 minutes of action of that contest as the Huskies proved to be no match for them.

This time around, Dickerson will need to remain out of foul trouble and show his growth as the senior leader for this team. He’s already fouled out of two contests for the Huskies this season and ironically they’ve both come against ranked opponents. This is another game where he doesn’t want to get in foul trouble or things could get ugly in a hurry.

In games Dickerson has fouled out, Washington has lost 88-66 to the Auburn Tigers and 81-79 to the Gonzaga Bulldogs, both ranked opponents. So, its safe to say Dickerson will be a much better factor if he’s on the floor and out of foul trouble.
