The No. 10 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies host the Boston College Golden Eagles on Saturday. With a 1-0 record in ACC play, here’s a look at 3 key storylines for the game.

The Virginia Tech Hokies enter this Saturday meeting with the Boston College Golden Eagles with a 1-0 record in ACC play and an undefeated record at home (8-0). The Golden Eagles are coming off a loss to the Hartford Hawks, 79-78, in overtime on Monday. They finished non-conference play with a 9-3 record, well above expectations from the outside.

The Hokies are coming off their first win in conference play against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Tuesday afternoon, 81-66. Thanks to some hot shooting from the floor and all-around team play, Virginia Tech is enjoying a seven-game winning streak and the No. 10 ranking in the AP Poll. Entering the matchup, the Hokies are putting 81.4 points per game on offense while allowing just 57.3 points per contest. As one of the top 3-point shooting teams in the country, they look to go 2-0 in ACC play with a victory over Boston College.

The Golden Eagles have enjoyed a positive start to their season in non-conference play, although a loss to the Hartford Hawks is certain to weaken their resume. Ky Bowman has picked up where he left off in 2017-18, putting up 20.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.6 steals per contest this year. Both teams will have their work cut out for them. Here’s a look at the three key storylines entering the game.
