ACC Basketball Power Rankings: Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech jumps up

The ACC Basketball power rankings have seen a shift as conference play has gotten rolling. Check out where each team stands in this week’s rankings.

Three undefeated teams remain and three teams remain winless as conference play in the ACC has gotten underway. The Virginia Cavaliers are the lone undefeated team in the conference at 15-0. The Duke Blue Devils survived a huge scare on the road on Saturday, thanks to the heroics of freshman forward Cam Reddish. Then, looming in the background are the Virginia Tech Hokies, who are also 3-0 in conference play.

Things have been interesting so far through the first handful of ACC games. The Clemson Tigers are winless, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 2-1 and the Miami Hurricanes are 1-3 through the first few weekends. If you had them predicted with those records through the early stages, kudos to you.

Parity in the ACC is back with a vengeance as the Syracuse Orange lost at home to Georgia Tech on Saturday as did the Florida State Seminoles, to put their record at 1-2 in the current conference standings.

It will be interesting to see how the standings will play out with so much talent across the conference. By the end of things, somebody will get the short of the end of the stick when it comes to the Selection Committee during March.
