The ACC Basketball world was shaken by a number of odd performances on Saturday. Here’s a look at the biggest takeaways heading into another week.

The Duke Blue Devils and Zion Williamson flexed their muscles in non-conference play with a big 91-61 over the St. John’s Red Storm but across the rest of the landscape, ACC basketball was still underway in other parts of the state.

The NC State Wolfpack probably took home the worst performance of the day, scoring 24 total points as a team on nine made field goals in a 47-24 loss to the 12th-ranked Virginia Tech Hokies. It was an abysmal display for the Wolfpack on their own home floor, while also throwing a wrench in future power rankings.

The North Carolina Tar Heels were able to get some revenge on the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday after falling at home to them on Jan. 12, 83-62. The Tar Heels were able to get a 79-69 victory behind strong games from Luke Maye and Cameron Johnson.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish got their second victory in ACC play. They’ve been another team struggling to find its star power but they got a big game from a key reserve to pull out a 79-73 victory over the Boston College Golden Eagles.

The Syracuse Orange, Florida State Seminoles and Virginia Cavaliers were three other teams to get a notch in the win column. Here’s a look at three takeaways after another week of ACC games.
