There were some statement wins in ACC basketball from some top teams this past weekend. Here’s a look at the biggest takeaways from another week.

As the ACC basketball regular season schedule slowly comes to a close, there’s been an interesting shift among the three tiers of the league. In what’s been considered “Tier 1” of the ACC standings, the league’s top three teams are currently all keeping pace with each other with records of 11-2.

In “Tier 2”, the Virginia Tech Hokies have become the first team to reach 10 victories while below them, the Florida State Seminoles, Syracuse Orange, and Louisville Cardinals are all battling for position. Not to be forgotten, given their current bubble status, then are the Clemson Tigers and NC State Wolfpack following after.

As March approaches, things have gotten interesting with each passing week in the ACC. The Hokies have won three of their last four contests since losing Justin Robinson to injury. The Duke Blue Devils lost Zion Williamson not even a minute into their game with North Carolina and he missed his first game as a member of the squad on Saturday.

Adversity seems to be the biggest learning curve to help some teams in the conference. As the final few games approach, here’s a look at the biggest takeaways from this past week of action.
