The latest ACC Bracketology forecast gives an update on what teams are in and which ones are fighting to get into the field of 68.

The race for the NCAA Tournament is heating up as the ACC schedule comes to close next Saturday. The Duke Blue Devils fell out of contention for the top spot in the conference after falling to the Virginia Tech Hokies on Wednesday night. The Virginia Cavaliers and North Carolina Tar Heels have managed to keep their bearings, though, and are currently pushing for top seeds in the NCAA Tournament.

The Tar Heels have won four straight games while the Cavaliers have won five straight games as the end of the regular season slowly approaches. Both teams are playing hot at the right time and are doing their part to earn No. 1 seeds.

The Virginia Tech Hokies have been the other surprise as they’re currently 11-5 in conference play. They’ve managed to do more with less considering how their season has gone and as March approaches, they’re playing well as a unit.

Then there are the teams teetering on the brink of not making the Big Dance. The Clemson Tigers and NC State Wolfpack are two teams looking to build their resumes as the NCAA Tournament approaches. They’re both on winning streaks of their own, but they’ll need to finish their schedule strong as the conference tournament approaches. Here’s a look at the latest bracketology from ACC basketball.
