ACC Basketball Power Rankings: Virginia finishes on top, UNC in 2nd

The ACC basketball schedule is coming to a close this weekend. Here’s a look at the final power rankings before the conference tournament begins.

The ACC basketball power rankings have been an interesting journey as the final games approach this weekend. The Virginia Cavaliers and North Carolina Tar Heels are on a collision course to finish in a tie for the ACC regular season title and furthermore, they could face off in the ACC Conference Tournament championship game.

Virginia has won seven games in a row and North Carolina has won six games in a row as the regular season conference slate comes to a close this Saturday. They’ll both have their own set of challenges to face this weekend as they look to finish the regular season strong heading into the conference tournament.

The Duke Blue Devils are safe in the third position in the standings as well, securing their own double-bye in the ACC Conference Tournament. The Florida State Seminoles clinched fourth place below the Top 3, a surprise given their finish last season. The Virginia Tech Hokies can clinch fifth place with a victory this Friday against the Miami Hurricanes.
