Kansas basketball has put together quite the streak as another year of March Madness arrives. Here’s the ranking of their last 29 NCAA Tournament teams..
The Kansas Jayhawks have built quite the résumé in the NCAA Tournament in the past few decades. Kansas basketball has won three national titles and made 47 NCAA Tournament appearances since being established as a college basketball program in 1898. They’re set to mark a streak of 30-straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament this upcoming cycle.
While their history goes way back, the focus will be on their recent run to the tournament between head coaches Bill Self and Roy Williams. The two have achieved quite the impressive feat in the last 29 seasons, as their teams have never held below a No. 8 seed in their appearances. They’ve achieved 13 No. 1 seeds and 14 seasons with 30 wins or more as well.
They’ve also managed to win a national title in their four trips to the national championship game. Of their 15 Final Four appearances, Self and Williams have coached the Jayhawks to seven trips to the NCAA Tournament’s final weekend.
If you’re pitching to a recruit, it’s not hard to lean on all of that history as a way of swaying the doubters. With another tournament approaching, the Jayhawks have an opportunity to make it 30 straight appearances to the Big Dance. Here’s a look at ranking the last 29 NCAA Tournament teams for Kansas.
