Day 2 of the ACC Basketball Tournament was another exciting one as all top four teams in the conference advanced to the semifinal round. The Virginia Cavaliers, Florida State Seminoles, North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils all handled business on Thursday night as they all look to win the tournament championship.
The Virginia Cavaliers trailed by two points at halftime, but as evidenced during the regular season, no lead is safe against them. They outscored the Wolfpack by 22 points in the second half en route to an easy victory.
The Seminoles and Hokies needed another round of overtime to decide a winner and once again, they prevailed thanks to a miracle shot by Terance Mann. They’ll need more of that magic against the Cavaliers on Friday.
The North Carolina Tar Heels made quick work of the Louisville Cardinals thanks to a balanced attack. Coby White and Luke Maye led the way with 19 points but their balance as a team showed in a variety of ways.
