The ACC basketball gods delivered on Friday night with exciting games in the ACC Conference Tournament. Here’s a look at the reactions from the semifinals.

The two semifinal matchups in the ACC Basketball Conference Tournament certainly lived up to the hype in terms of expectations. In the first matchup, there was an upset. In the second matchup, the stars aligned in one of the best rivalries in college basketball.

The Florida State Seminoles were the first to punch their ticket to the ACC title game. They defeated the Virginia Cavaliers 59-49 to avenge an early loss in the regular season. The Seminoles are peaking at the right time and showing why they could return to the Elite 8 and even beyond this season in the NCAA Tournament.

Florida State has made quite the journey to this point. They had some tough games to start their regular season conference slate but as evidenced by recent results, they look prepared for what’s to come this March.

The Duke Blue Devils got a victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels in the latest meeting in the Tobacco Road Rivalry. The Blue Devils got 30 points from Zion Williamson as they pulled out a 74-73 victory and are headed to yet another ACC title game.

Zion set himself apart when his team needed him most in his debut in the rivalry. Luckily, there were no shoe incidents either. Here’s a look at the reactions from the ACC Conference Tournament Semifinals.
