8. Louis King, Oregon Ducks

The Oregon Ducks surprised much of the Pac-12 when they ran through their competition, outside of their overtime semifinals contest, en route to the conference tournament title. They won their final eight games of the regular season and now they’re one of the hottest 12-seeds in the field.

6-foot-7 forward Louis King has been one key player in their latest run. During conference play, he produced 14.5 points and 6.2 rebounds on 35.8 percent shooting from behind the ar. In the conference tournament, he upped his average on the wing to 16.5 points per contest and 40 percent from 3-point land.

The Ducks have made the most of things with top prospect Bol Bol out with an injury but as evidenced, he’s not their only budding star. King has made at least one 3-pointer in their last 13 games. With a breakout performance in the NCAA Tournament, he could see his stock rise.

Heading into their meeting with the No. 5 seed Wisconsin Badgers, the odds certainly favor an upset. 12-seeds have defeated 5-seeds 47 times in the first round, though in 2018, all the higher seeds pulled out victories. A big game from King could change all of that.
