Boston College Basketball will need to rely heavily on some newcomers with top players gone. Here’s a look at their 2019 recruiting class.

Boston College Basketball will be a different looking team this upcoming season with the departures of Ky Bowman and Jordan Chatman. Bowman is off early to the NBA, making them desperate for a facilitator and primary option in 2019-20. Chatman, another quality guard out the backcourt, is gone to graduation.

The Golden Eagles will have four players incoming in their 2019 recruiting class, which should be considered a blessing given the versatile role each player can play. They’ll be a much younger squad, which could make for a different result next season, but hopefully Jim Christian can survive the growing pains.

Boston College is coming off a 14-17 season overall and went 5-13 in ACC play in 2018-19.  They got off to a solid start with freshman Wynston Tabbs in the starting rotation, but by the end of the season, they lost him due to injury. Without him in the backcourt, they struggled to the finish line and lost six of their seven final games.

With Tabbs back and more young talent, the Golden Eagles hope to turn things around this upcoming season. They’ve got room to grow as a team in the toughest conference in college basketball. Here’s a look at their 2019 recruiting class.
