Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Total commitments: 2

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will lose just two seniors from their 2018-19 roster which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at things. Jose Alvarado, James Banks and Michael Devoe all had productive seasons in the backcourt and will be returning in 2019-20 for now.

Small forward Jordan Usher, a transfer from the USC Trojans, will be eligible for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. His presence on the wing should improve their offensive production.

The Yellow Jackets are still thin in the frontcourt, especially with the loss of Abdoulaye Gueye. Their first commitment of the 2019 class was David Didenko, a 6-foot-8 power forward at Palm Beach State College (JUCO). He averaged 3.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game through 26 contests at Palm Beach State. He’ll have three years of eligibility left starting in 2019-20.

Asanti Price, a 6-foot-5 guard, from South Carolina is their recent commitment. Right now, they’ve don’t have many offers floating out there.

With two spots remaining, the Yellow Jackets have offers out there for big men Josaphat Bilau and Issa Muhammad. Muhammad also had offers from Wake Forest and Clemson, two other ACC foes. Georgia Tech will need to seal the deal on a big man soon, as they look to be all set in the backcourt for now.
